BorgWarner Inc. expanding operations in Oconee County

Company creating more than 160 new jobs at manufacturing facility

COLUMBIA, S.C. – BorgWarner Inc., a global leader in clean and efficient technology solutions for combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles, is expanding its operations in Oconee County. The $71.9 million investment is projected to create more than 160 new jobs. This announcement represents the company’s third expansion since 2013.

Today, as one of the top suppliers for the global automotive industry, BorgWarner operates 62 facilities in 17 countries, employing approximately 27,000 associates worldwide. With a diverse customer base, the company serves a variety of markets, including the passenger car and light truck, commercial vehicle, off-highway, construction and agricultural markets.

To support additional business awarded to the company this year, BorgWarner will invest in capital, equipment and infrastructure at its existing facilities located at 15545 Wells Highway in Seneca, S.C.
